Sunday Salon

This is my first Sunday Salon post, to say that I haven’t done any reading today!

My weekends usually follow a routine. From Friday afternoon to Sunday morning, I spend time with my consumption partner (to borrow a euphemism from the lovely Kerry Howley), because I don’t have much time to do that during the work/school week. Then from about noon on, I get to spend Sunday relaxing, reading, and lately getting the blog at least partly set up for the week. But today I’m suffering reader’s block!

I think it’s because my weekends have actually been relatively hectic lately. Last week my best friend ever was visiting from out of town, and on Tuesday of this week a college friend will be arriving to stay with me through Saturday. Which is completely awesome, but I am a creature of habit. I have serious routines. And just knowing how they will be disrupted has me out of the reading mood.

Yesterday, though, I did finish up Where Three Roads Meet by Salley Vickers. Found it disappointing; will say more later in the week. And today I had my first ever LibraryThing meetup, which was very fun. I’m going to pick up Mythologies now and see how far I get this evening, but the big question for this week is: how to write a book blog when you have no reading time for five straight days? We shall see.
