I’ll fess up. This is not my first blog. My last blog, which shall remain nameless, lasted for a few months before I just stopped feeling like updating anymore. My main goal for A Life in Books is for that not to happen.
My main purpose here will be book discussing and reviewing, comment on the literary world in general, and of course off-topic postings on whatever strikes my fancy. I read contemporary fiction and lately I’ve been getting my hands on several advanced review copies, which is what is really launching me into creating this blog. But I also read a lot of books that aren’t brand new, as well as a lot of classics, and various nonfiction that interests me. So this blog won’t be focused solely on new releases. Personally, I think that’s a positive thing—there’s already plenty of that going around. Instead, this really will be simply my life in books.
